Nagios NRPE plugin check_file comes now with a redesigned --filter option, allowing to define criteria like name matches, size and age in a common manner. The new option --rootonly makes possible to limit file searches to the top level, avoiding recursive directory tree traversal. An other new option --compare allows you to specify what kind of comparison operator which will be used for generation of warning/error messages.
