Version 5.0.1 contains a client installer with an updated Rsync GUI. In addition, both client and server installers are updated with OpenSSL security patches 0.9.8s and 0.9.8t.

cwRsync - Rsync client and server for Windows

Cwrsync has now its own rsync client GUI with following features:

- Specify sources and destination (local, remote ssh and daemon modes)
- Specify filters and a subset of options
- Create rsync command according to your specification
- Run rsync on the fly both in production and test mode

- Save and load your favorite rsync settings as profiles
- Language localization

Copssh version 4.2.2 is a minor update and contains updated versions of bash and readline7.dll, fixing broken backspace in bash shell and a non-working nano editor.

In addition, the Windows firewall is automatically configured for communication on port 22.

Furthermore, Copssh installer instructs Vista/7 platforms to run it with administrator privileges (no need to specify "Run as administrator" or disabling UAC (User Accont Control)). You need, however, still to run the Control Panel as an administrator for a proper operation.

Uninstaller logic is also updated for removal of the firewall exception and the service account upon request.
 

Winrpe version 4.0.0 uses Xinet super server daemon to handle connections. In earlier versions of Winrpe, this task is performed directly by the nrpe itself in daemon mode, and We've observed hanging network connections cumulating over time. We hope that using nrpe as a provider only will reduce connection related problems. Xinet has also very powerful mechanisms for connection control and extensive logging.

6. BUG FIX - Create service account group The installer creates a service account group (group-<service accont>) and make corresponding updates in the nrpe configuration file. That change avoids nrpe deamon to create some harmless error messages in the event log.

Check_ad version 1.5 introduces a configuration file to configure localized output from dcdiag and netdiag tools. A new option --dfsr can be used to specify that Sysvol replications are done via DFS instead of FRS. Check_ad gives now a more proper explanation when member checks fails on Windows 2008 systems due to non-availability of the netdiag tool.
