Hello
Could you take in consideration <br> tag in addition of <br /> tag for the argument "ignoreline" ?
Could we change the name of the generated htm/l file ?
Could we change the name of the generated vcard file ?
Could we change the location of the htm/l generated signatures and vcard file ?
Thanks
Hello,
if we ping a target which does not return any packets (normal ping returns "Request timed out.")
the check_winping.exe throws these errors:

Hi
We've installed Nagwin, and it works like a dream. However, we managed to get all local internal hosts monitored and managed to monitor 1 server behind each natted router at our clients' sites with dyndns on DSL links.
We played around with adding the second host on the remote network and changed the port to 5667, as well as added commands and the Nagwin server to listen on port 5667, ( as suggested by a post her esomewhere)
Both hosts however return the same data on the services, as I believe they resolve to the same IP address on the natted DNS address.
I use CopSSH 3.1.4 on a Win 2008 Server.
In the sshd_config I entered: #LogLevel QUIET
But when I look at the Administrative Events in the Server Manager I can find a lot of event types "Info" and "Error" like "The description for Event ID 0 from source sshd cannot be found..."
What's going wrong here? Is there another possibility to turn off the logging of these events?
Hello,
I'm trying to get Nagwin up and running in a virtual environment prior
to installing it in a company network.
I've been facing a lot of problems, but was able to solve them... so far.
When I take a look at the Nagios site, all monitors for the localhost are running fine,
but for the client (using the agentless method, check_wmic.exe),
5 out of 6 monitors give me a Return code of 5 is out of bounds error.
So, for all of them, I get that same 5 return code.
Hi,
I am looking to use check_winevent to detect certain event IDs in the AD logs, things that could indicate potential issues on a Windows 2008 AD DC.
However, it would appear that the command only "sees" the standard logs (Application, System and Security). Is there any way to make it look at other logs?
Thanks,
Otto
Hi out there,
check_ad workes perferctly fine for our Windoes Server 2003 server. We now added two new Windows Server 2012 machines to the domain as domain controllers. Unfortunately Monitoring these with check_ad 1.5 fails with an error "Unknown Windows version [2:6:2]".
Below is the out of a verbose run. Any ideas what's wrong here?
Thanks for the support in advance.

I am Running Nagwin 1.3.0 on Windows 2003 and noticed in the task manager 2 nagios.exe processes. When this happens, nagios stops monitoring because there is no scheduled checks and I am forced to end the process in task manager because it cannot be stopped from the Services control panel.
After stopping the following services, a nagios.exe appears in the task manager and I am forced to end this process before restarting these services for nagwin to start monitoring again.
Nagwin_Nagios
Nagwin_Nagiosfcgi
Nagwin_Nginx
Nagwin_Phpfcgi
I have just installed the Office 2013 and updated to Adolsign 2.2
It seems like Microsoft have decided to unify the environment.
Which is a good thing and makes it easier when developing software.
Office 2013 have introduced the new version 15 registry entry.
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0]
The new string value that Adolsign should be using is now:
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\General]
"Signatures"="Signatures"
I'm trying to figure out how to monitor other windows services; print spooler, Hyper-V Virtual Machine Manager.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Following the writeup here: /content/how-enable-external-command-option . I've trying to setup a distributed Nagios setup.
The remote Nagios creates nagios.cmd.[TIME] and described above. If I put a any single nagios.cmd file in the directory I get the expected results. The command is unput, and the file deleted.
When there is 2 or more files in that directory, nagios simply crashes and refuses to restart unless there is zero or at most one cmd file in that directory.
Hello all !
Is it possible to change the generated signature directory ?
For example, make the signature under c:\signature in place of c:\users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures ?
Thanks in advance
Nicolas

Hello,
We are upgrading our server environment and will be installing COPSSH 4.2.3 on new Windows 2008 server. The existing installation, which is on COPSSH 4.1 users need to be migrated from the old server.
We are unsure of the proper procedure to do this. Our thoughts were to:
1. Install COPSSH 4.2.3 on the new Windows 2008 server.
2. Migrate the ..\ICW\HOME directory from 2003 server to 2008 server.
3. Copy the passwd and group files from the 2003 server to the 2008 server.
On my Nagwin server, I am receiving the following when checking the HDD space on two out of four of my servers. I have one Windows Server 2008 box and the other three are running Windows Server 2003. I am getting this result on two of my Windows Server 2003 boxes, yet the other 03 box returns the correct value.
"DISK OK - usage: C: -5495.8 MB (-536.70% of total 1024.0 MB)"

Hello all,
Please bear with me as I am new to this program and it's Linux based commands/file paths. I have installed Nagwin 1.3.0, the free version, on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine. I have also installed winrpe 2.12 on a Windows Server 2003 machine within the same subnet. I have follow the directions listed in this page to the 'T'; /content/nagwin-usage-example-2-basic-monitoring-windows-hosts and after I restart the services, go back to the webpage and select "Hosts", I am presented with:
Hello all,
1. I received WARNING: UNPROTECTED PRIVATE KEY FILE! during rsycn execution
2. I removed all permissions for all users except administrators to id_rsa file
3. I can connect to server via rsa key if I run rsync as administrator
The question is how to set permissions to id_rsa on windows 8 home to allow run rsync as standard user .
I tried few combination of permission setting and chmod command with no success.
Thanks Pavel
Hi!
I have an issue with CopSSH where I want to ssh from a Windows Server 2012 onto a remote linux server. Problem is that it seems to me that no matter if I use -X or -Y command line option, or whether I set ForwardX11/ForwardX11Trusted/ForwardX11Agent to yes or no in ssh_config, I get the following error:
warning no xauth data using fake authentication data for x11 forwarding.
I'm getting very poor performance with File Transfer in Windows 8 Remote Desktop over SSH.
Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, as I notice that my XP VM is far more responsive in enumerating the local machines files & folders. The difference is so stark as to render the Windows 8 remote desktop client unusable (clicking on a mapped local drive letter can take > 1 minute to respond vs. 5 seconds). Overall, the user interface is also noticeably laggier.
Hello Forum,

Hi All,
I am running NSClient++ version 0.4.1.66-x64 on a windows 2008 r2 server. I am having a problem getting the check_ad plugin to work. When I try to run the command from the nagios server using
check_nrpe -H ipaddress of server -c check_ad I get an error No handler for command: check_ad. Also when I look in the nsclient log I get the following error:
