I've installed copSSH on a Windows 2000 Server, which also happens to be the directory controller (consequently, I can't add a user account as a "true" local user). I've tried activating the user as both a local (which copSSH sees) and domain account, but no matter what I do, it won't let me authenticate from my client machine.
I've tried login in as "user", "domain\user", "domain \ user", "user@domain"...nothing works.
I've successfully installed and connected on both a W2K3 server, and a W2K pro workstation, so I'm theorizing that the problem has to do with Active Directory.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a work around?
Activating a domain user and login as 'user' should work. You may have a look at the event log to find out what copssh reacts.
