I am running cwRsync Server 2.0.1 in combination with Nas-Backup. With Nas-Backup I select a sub-directory (i.e. c:\Installs\Cisco) and tell it to execute. I get the following errors:
rsync: recv_generator: mkdir "/Installs\\Cisco" (in pbarton) failed: No such file or directory (2)
rsync: stat "/Installs\\Cisco" (in pbarton) failed: No such file or directory (2)
If I create the 'Installs' directory on the host server everything works great. I have tested this with many different combinations and every time if I either select the root directory or create the root direct and select a sub directory it will work. But if I let rsync create the directory tree it fails.
Can anyone give me some direction on this?
How does your rsyncd.conf look like ?
use chroot = falsestrict modes = false
hosts allow = *
log file = rsyncd.log
pid file = rsyncd.pid
# Module definitions
# Remember cygwin naming conventions : c:\work becomes /cygwin/c/work
path = /cygdrive/e/backups/pbarton
read only = false
auth users = pbarton
secrets file = /cygdrive/d/program files/cwRsyncServer/rsyncd.secrets
transfer logging = yes
I don't know too much about nasbackup. What version of rsync does it use ? Do you get same error if you try rsync directly instead of nasbackup ?
I am also trying to combine cwRsyncServer and Nas-Backup but I haven't had much luck either. I know it's troubling you too but could you please kindly send me instructions on how you went on about it. How you created the modules and the users to access them? Any help is highly appreciated.
