check_ad 1.8 on Windows server 2012 R2

Hi,

Maybe can you help me? I would like to use check_ad 1.8 on Windows Server 2012 R2, but when I launch in Windows command prompt "check_ad.exe --dc --verbose" I have this :

"Operating system is - (2.6.2.9200)

Computer COMPUTERNAME is a Read-Write DC

Dcdiag command to run: dcdiag /test:services /test:replications /test:advertising /test:fsmocheck /test:machineaccount /test:sysvolcheck /test:ridmanager /test:frsevent /test:kccevent

AD CRITICAL -     "

When i run the in the prompt the command "dcdiag /test:services /test:replications [...]" it works.

Do you have a solution please ?

Best regard

You need to update the configuration file check_ad.config (or an other file specifieds by the --config parameter) to support French output from dcdiag - Se check_ad documentation for more information.

Antoine
Ok thank you.

Ok thank you.

I do it like that :

[Language]dcdiag_connectivity = Le test Connectivity de CARAD2 a réussidcdiag_services = Le test Services de CARAD2 a réussidcdiag_replications = Le test Replications de CARAD2 a réussidcdiag_advertising = Le test Advertising de CARAD2 a réussidcdiag_fsmo = Le test FsmoCheck de azur-routage.com a réussidcdiag_rid = Le test RidManager de CARAD2 a réussidcdiag_machine = Le test MachineAccount de CARAD2 a réussi#dcdiag_frssysvol = passed test frssysvoletc..... It is correct ? But in my ms dos prompt "é" become "ú" it is important ? However it still doesnt work , i  have the same result : AD - CRITICAL

Yes, thank you. The problem is the output from the localized dcdiag in French, it produces two lines for each test:

 Démarrage du test : Advertising
         Démarrage du test : Advertising
         ......................... Le test Advertising
          de XXXXXX a réussi

check_ad expects one line for each test. Sorry.

Antoine
So its not possible for

So its not possible for french to use the plugin ?

At the moment yes - check_ad has no parsing logic covering dcdiag results with more than one line per check. An alternative can be to find an english version of dcdiag.
