You can remove following

You can remove following files from etc directory and start the service again:

ssh_host_ecdsa_key

ssh_host_ecdsa_key.pub

ssh_host_rsa_key

ssh_host_rsa_key.pub

That way, OpenSSH service will not be able to offer public key identification based on rsa or ecdsa.

Removing the files and re-starting the service did not do the trick.  The person is still not able to connect via DSA key.  What do I do?

I have followed the procedure

I have followed the procedure below and can connect successfully:

  1. Started Copssh Control Panel as admin
  2. Activated user user1
  3. Use PKA Wizard by clicking Keys button
  4. Defined a 1024 DSA keypair with the private key user1.priv without a passphrase
  5. Used following command from a shell:

ssh -i user1.priv user1@localhost

i am having problems

i am having problems launching the CopSSH Control Panel.  It launches as a service, but never appears as an application and just starts chewing up tones of memory.  I have uninstalled and re-installed several times.  The first time I installed it worked fine but now everytime I launch the CopSSH control panel I never see any interface.
