I understand your arguments. A new FAQ addressing access to files/drives/resources outside the copSSH root directory, is now available.

I'd like to nominate the following questions and answers for inclusion in the FAQ:
How do I improve the security of copSSH?
How do I access files/drives/resources outside the copSSH root directory?
(See 1, 2, and 3, with the latter probably having the best answer. And also include an example showing a UNC network path. Knowing how to create simlinks is pretty useful as it can be difficult to access /cygdrive paths from some GUI SFTP clients.)
Can I change the location of my home directory?
(Yes, but there can be problems: 1, 2, 3)
Why is it called copSSH?
(I don't know. cygwin + OpenSSH I suppose?)

The answer to Can I change the location of my home directory? in the section where you talk about modifying /etc/passwd should mention the warning you gave in this thread: "Don't use the script for deactivation of users. It removes your home directory."
You forgot How do I access files/drives/resources outside the copSSH root directory? While the information is now contained in some of the other answers, this is a pretty important stumbling point (it took me a while playing around with windows shortcuts before I gave up and searched the forums for the answer) and deserves its own question.
Thanks for your suggestions.
You're welcome.

A double check has revealed that the deactivation script did not remove relocated home directory. Sorry for misinformation. The original posting is also updated with correct information.

Looks good.
