Access Denied using the right password?

Hello everyone now I'm having a new problem.
Im getting access denied for all my users even though I know I'm using the correct password.
Ive tried making a new user and trying to see if the password worked on that and it didnt. It's like its not properly checking what the password is or something.

Could anyone give me a clue on what it might be? This is the error on the event log:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( sshd ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: sshd : PID 840 : Failed password for USER from xxx.xx.xx.xxx port 4170 ssh2.

Re: Access Denied using the right password?

If you mean the cmd line script yes. Its been working perfectly for months, I dont see why its acting up right now.
However Im beginning to think its a windows issue and not a copssh issue.

Unless anyone has any more ideas?

What about password expiration or disabled accounts due to multiple unsuccessful logins ?

Re: Access Denied using the right password?

It was a windows issue. The account expired and the password was changed and a whole slew of other things.
I have a couple of questions for you tev,
Is it necessary for the svcopssh account to be set as "password never expires"?
Is the same thing necessary for ssh users if they never log onto the box?

Please let us know,
Thanks for all the great support!

Re: Access Denied using the right password?

Password expiration for the service account is set to never by default. When it comes to users, I would prefer that they have expirable passwords, even if that practice creates some burden regarding copssh access.
