I have COPssh installed on a win xp sp2 system. It all runs ok until the system restarts. After restart, when I try to remotely ssh to the computer I get the following error:
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
The COPssh log has the following entry:
48125047 sshd 1748 fork_copy: linked dll data/bss pass 0 failed, 0x3DC000..0x3DC040, done 0, windows pid 3584, Win32 error 487
If I just stop and then restart the COPsshd service then everything works ok. It's just when the system restarts that ssh won't work untill I log on the win machine and restart the service.
Does anyone know why this happends and how I can fix it?
The only info I found on the web suggests running 'rebaseall' under cygwin, which I'm not sure applies.

Check if there are other cygwin-dependent software/services on your machine.
To the best of my knowledge there are not. I don't remember installing anything else.
IN the past I had installed another package of OpenSSH but had uninstalled it before using CopSSH.

The only other server I have running is apachee 2, barebones. I am using Proventia Desktop 8 firewall (but had the same problem when I was using Zone Alarm).
How can I check if there are any cygwin dependent programs?

Actually, X-Win32 v6 is installed but I am not using it. http://www.starnet.com/products/xwin32/
You will run into problems if you install copssh on a PC where an other cygwin1.dll is available via PATH (copssh setup gives a warning about that!), or an other running process with cygwin1.dll loaded into memory. In both cases, there will be interferences between two installations, resulting unexpected behaviour.
