Re: Welcome to the copSSH User Forum!

You can use this forum for discussions and questions about copSSH.

Hello,
it looks like your system broke when I attempted to answer your question yesterday. I have a problem installing copSSH on my main system although I do not have any problem on my laptop. I think I found the problem: is there any reason that the installation program would create the svcCOPSSH account as a user account on my laptop where it works fine and as a group account on my main system where the installation program does not? Both computers are Win XP Pro with the same level of patches. I am also talking about copSSH 1.3.1a. Could you give me the command to install the copSSH service manually so that I could try to do it manually on my main system?

I also have the following error message in a file called _tmp2.cmd in the copSSH directory: LookupUserFromRid error! (rc=122)

Thanks,

Richard Lebel

copSSH installation behaves differently !

Hi,
Sorry for the break. I hope it will never happen again :-)

Error message you get comes from a little application called listacc.exe. This application finds localized names of groups users and administrators.

Is your main system a part of a domain ?

Nope. It is my main system but it is not part of any domain.
